The TaylorMade SIM2 Max Driver took everything that made the SIM Max successful in 2020 and added a structural innovation that allowed TaylorMade to build a faster, more forgiving driver. The SIM2 Max introduced a Forged Aluminum Ring — a structural element around the perimeter of the face that allowed TaylorMade to use a thinner, faster titanium face insert while maintaining the structural integrity of the head. That ring is visible as the silver band around the face, and it’s functionally significant: it frees TaylorMade to push face thickness and speed closer to USGA limits without compromising durability. Combined with the Asymmetric Inertia Generator — TaylorMade’s shaped sole that pushes CG low and back — and Twist Face correction technology, the SIM2 Max produces high-launching, forgiving ball flight that suits the full range of recreational golfers. Now at well below launch price, it’s one of the best value-to-performance drivers from the pre-carbon era.
